Which inverter technology should you choose?
The choice depends mainly on the configuration of your roof, whether or not there is shade, and the storage system you want.
Micro-inverters
Ideal when certain areas of the roof may be shaded or when the panels are spread over several sections.
Each panel operates independently, which optimizes production and allows panel-by-panel monitoring.
Hybrid or central inverter
Perfect when the roof is well exposed and unshaded.
This is a reliable, high-performance, and economical solution, particularly suited to homogeneous installations.
It also allows you to add a physical battery if you choose a hybrid model.

How does the resale of surplus electricity work?
The electricity generated by your panels follows a very simple order of priority:
- Your home consumes the energy generated as a priority.
This allows you to directly reduce your bill.
- The surplus is then directed to your storage system,
whether physical (battery) or virtual (MyLight150 digital battery).
- Finally, the remaining electricity is fed into the grid.
This surplus is automatically purchased by an energy supplier—usually EDF Obligation d'Achat (EDF OA)—at a rate set by the government under a contract.
This mechanism allows you to maximize your self-consumption, benefit from optimized storage, and generate additional income by reselling the surplus.
Do the panels still produce energy in bad weather?
Yes. Photovoltaic panels continue to produce energy even in overcast conditions, low light, or less favorable weather conditions.
